The challenge was to design a CD cover that captures the dramatic, mythical, and energetic spirit of progressive rock while visually representing the intensity and storytelling present in the album. The goal was to create a striking illustration and visual composition that reflects the album’s themes, engages the audience, and stands out within the genre’s rich tradition of iconic album artwork.

This design was created as a CD cover for a progressive rock album, drawing inspiration from the genre’s theatrical, mythic, and highly imaginative visual language. The composition features a confrontation between a wolf and a dragon, symbolizing conflict, power, and transformation, themes often explored in progressive rock music. Flowing, colorful energy forms move through the background, representing sound, movement, and the dynamic nature of the music itself. The bold typography and intricate illustration style aim to capture the dramatic and fantastical spirit of prog rock while creating a visually immersive world that reflects the epic scale of the album’s narrative and sound.
